Got a kernel for a story? A first draft of a screenplay? A spec TV script? Or maybe you've finished your final draft, and though you're fairly sure that it's solid, do you think you just might want an experienced third party to give you unbiased feedback?

Welcome to that third party.

My background is somewhat unusual, in that I'm looking from the outside in. I am the embodiment of your audience. As a movie reviewer for 15 years, I often sit in screening rooms, stifling my impulse to yell, "Didn't anyone vet this film?" Plot holes, shallow characters, weak dialogue, an uninspired story ... I take note and review accordingly.

Wouldn't it be preferable to get the reviewer's "review" long before any Rotten Tomatoes were thrown? Before anyone got hurt?

There's a lot to be said for preventive care ...

Echoing the concept above, I'm your audience. I'm your book reviewer at the end of "The End." If I can note the weak points before you submit your work, then your chances of finding an agent or a publisher are that much greater.

Sure, you could join the growing army of the self-published. But if you do, a manuscript assessment can make or break the success of your book.

I will give you feedback on your manuscript's strengths and weaknesses in such areas as story, character, plotting, coherence, superfluous content, etc.

Additionally, I'm available for more in-depth editorial work, i.e., developing, copy editing and/or proofreading.

"If a book about failures doesn't sell, is it a success?"

~ Jerry Seinfeld
