Doing a Verbal Cannes-Cannes, and/or Chatting Without Fear:

The #2 classical station in the nation, All Classical 89.9, hosts a weekly podcast, or “audio episode,” each week, called FOUR ON THE AISLE. The players/critics: Ed Goldberg, Becky Ohlsen, D.K. Holm and yours truly, Kimberly Gadette.

We usually discuss the current films releasing in the multiplex, as well as art house and indie films, current DVD releases, etc. But upon my return from the Cannes Film Festival, while we were in the studio taping a recent episode (ranting about the odios Snow White and the Huntsman, among other films) I was surprised to find that one of us “four,” DK Holm, asked to tape an additional show: An interview with me all about Cannes. Right then and there.

I hadn’t expected the interview, and was surprised/relieved that I didn’t flub my lines all that much! Now that the show’s been on for over three months, I guess it’s a whole lot easier to yammer on without fear. Either that, or I’m just becoming used to it all.

Anyhoo, if you’d like my 20-minute audio take on this year’s Cannes Film Fest, feel free to click on Episode #14 of Four on the Aisle
